Our Commitment to India

Numismatic Guaranty Corporation™ (NGC®), Numismatic Conservation Services™ (NCS®), and Paper Money Guaranty™ (PMG®) have been committed to serving the India collectibles market since launching NGCcoin.in and PMGnotes.in in 2019.

Since then, our team has been fortunate enough to visit India five times, including two on-site grading events. In June and November of 2019, a PMG team traveled to Chennai and Bangalore, respectively, to perform authentication, grading and encapsulation. Due to the pandemic, NGC, NCS and PMG have not been able to travel for most of 2020, but we remain dedicated to our Indian collectors and dealers.

In 2019, NGC introduced a special label to honor India. It features the renowned Taj Mahal in Agra, the international symbol of the nation of India. In 1983, the architectural feat was deemed a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The label is available for all common date modern (1955 and later) India coins.

During an unprecedented year, NGC, NCS and PMG have continued to develop their presence in India. We look forward to working more closely with our Official Submission Centers to expand our expert and impartial services.
